Mission: To provide a proactive educational program, which
will improve knowledge of North Dakota
furbearers and provide basic fur hunting and trapping information of our
renewable resource. Objectives: 1. To teach the history of
furbearer hunting and trapping and their role in future wildlife
2. To teach new or inexperienced individuals the importance of responsible and
ethical
3. To teach identification, preparation, and maintenance of proper hunting and
trapping
4. To teach modern furbearer hunting and trapping techniques, which stress
animal
5. To provide hands-on experience with hunting and trapping equipment and actual
trap 6. To teach proper pelt preparation, skinning, grading , and marketing strategies.
