Wildlife harvesting and trapping
is among the oldest professions in the history of man. The NDFHTA
promotes pride in the profession and in its historic heritage. In addition,
the NDFHTA is recognized both statewide and nationally as a voice for North
Dakota fur hunters and trappers and as a proactive and responsible source of
training in the profession.
The NDFHTA has a variety of activities for your benefit
throughout the year. These include cooperative fur harvesting
educational programs and courses, fur handling seminars,
organizational meeting, and seasonal get-togethers.
NDFHTA provides booths at public events to educate
individual members of the public about furbearer management and the
benefits of modern regulated fur harvest. These events provide
rewarding opportunities to create and maintain the public's
acceptance of this legitimate, outdoor activity.
The magazine offered with a membership is the Trapper
and Predator Caller. Each issue will have NDFHTA news in the
back of the magazine. There are also organizational mailings
throughout the year to update members on district and statewide
activities and information.
